Daniel C. Schmidt
Daniel C. Schmidt is the founder and principal of Schmidt Law Group. Mr. Schmidt attended the University of Waterloo and obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall in Toronto, Ontario in 1983. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1985, and has since been a partner with 2 prominent law firms, one national and the other international, and has served in a variety of senior positions in such firms.
Mr. Schmidt practises exclusively business law, with his primary focus on mergers and acquisitions, both domestic and cross-border, corporate finance, contract review, and corporate structuring and restructuring. He has a diverse client base which spans many industry sectors, and his clients include and have included private equity firms, private and public companies, financial institutions and public bodies. Mr. Schmidt is a life-long resident of the Waterloo Region. He serves and has served on a number of boards and committees. |
Taylor SchmidtTaylor Schmidt obtained her law degree from Western University in London, Ontario in 2019 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2020. She has since worked as an associate at a prominent Canadian law firm, where her practice focused on securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance and general corporate and commercial law. She continues to practice business law at Schmidt Law Group.
